Gray tank and drain smell

Sour, swampy, or “old dishwater” usually isn’t the black tank. It’s a dry trap, grease in the gray tank, or a shower pan that never dries.

Kitchen sink: poured a cup of water into the drain to refill the trap. Bathroom sink and shower: same — water in every trap. Sink strainer is in and grease isn’t going down the drain. Ran hot water + a little dish soap after greasy cooking. Shower curtain and pan can dry; standing water is a smell factory. Gray tank dumped if it’s been sitting full in heat. Optional gray-tank treatment or a tank rinse if it’s been a greasy week. If you have a washer, the standpipe/trap isn’t dry and the drum door is cracked open after use. Confirmed it isn’t the toilet/black tank (bowl water, vent, valve).
